Now the final figure has come in and we're pleased to announce that the winning estimate, with 3428 miles, is Ian Campbell from St Andrews - only 10.2 miles off the actual mileage of 3417.8! 365 bottles of Asahi are winging their way to Ian

After a year on tour around the UK, the Asahi Rising Stars Cocktail Competition reached its grand final in a glitzy evening at the Park Plaza Riverbank London in October. The competition's first prize; an all-expenses-paid trip to Japan.
Asahi are delighted to support Elephant Parade, a large scale outdoor art exhibition of baby elephant sculptures, displayed in major cities around the world. It is an innovative fundraising and awareness campaign that shines a multi-coloured spotlight on the urgent crisis faced by the endangered Asian elephant.
Matthew David Marshall is the winner of the Midlands regional heat. His winning cocktail comprised: Cocktail Recipe: 5 fresh raspberries, 35mls absinthe (or pernod), 15 strega, 20 coconut cream, angostura bitters (5 drops) and 80mls apple juice. Shaken and strained into a bottle.
American Crew FACE OFF is a competition showcasing men and men’s grooming. We are looking for a blend of modern hair looks, with a simple yet progressive and fashion focused edge. Models, photography and overall look should reflect the man of today, without losing sight of the timeless character that is undeniably ‘CREW’.
Mr Asahi has been set free and is on his way to Ireland; visiting Dublin and Belfast before returning to these shores on the 19th May in Chester. All dates will be shown in the upcoming events page. Make sure you go and see him!
On Wednesday 25th March the winner was announced - Lee Hyde from The Vanilla Rooms. Asahi beer sponsored Imbibes industry competition at Boujis the competition was to find the best cocktail in the UK, mixed by any full-time bar tender in the UK under the age of 30.

Mr Asahi Robot had great fun touring Britain last year; visiting London, Manchester and Birmingham and a host of other cities. A 2009 tour has been planned and will feature other major cities not previously visited including a visit to Ireland. Watch this space for dates and venues.

The Asahi supported 'White Noise' will open on Saturday 29th November. The exhibition will feature works by 6 artists. The artists featured are: D*Face, Nick Walker, Blek Le Rat, Lucas Price, Asha Zero, Matt Small and Brian Adam Douglas.
On Saturday 15th November Asahi supported Prohibition, completely hidden away from the prying eyes of police: the venue – a vast East End warehouse - was an apt setting for Prohibition’s bootlegged alcohol, roulette tables, and flamboyant floorshows.
On November the 5th 2008 Asahi was at The Tatler Little Black Book Party. One of the most high profile winter parties. 500 of the most eligible men and women, aged under 30, celebrate the fact that they are "in the book". Asahi are the only beer ever to be associated with Tatler.

These awards are for the companies behind their large clients. Sublime Communications were put forward for the works they have done in connection with Mr Asahi Robot. Unfortunately they were unsuccessful but Mr Asahi is always a winner. Come and see him in 2009!

On Thursday 18th September Asahi supported Vivienne Westwood’s fashion party. Once again, over 400 people attended this event. All in all, Asahi had an extremely high profile at the prestigious London Fashion Week!
Did you see him? On Thursday 18th September 2008 the world’s first bespoke robotic barman went to Indi Bar, Arcadian Centre, Birmingham B5 4TD. If you were there you will have received one free de-capped bottle of Asahi Beer from the world’s first robotic barman, Mr Asahi!
Asahi again supported London Fashion Week; two of the major fashion parties in London Fashion Week were held on Wednesday 17th September 2008. The first one at Basso & Brooke and the second at Henry Holland. Over 400 “Movers and Shakers” attended both parties.
On Wednesday 17th September, Asahi supported the Sam Waley-Cohen’s Charity Roller Disco. Sam finished 3rd in the Grand National last year and organised this Charity Roller Disco for the young and the beautiful. Kate Middleton was one of many high profile attendees.
